Longtime pro bono advocate to help steward MVLP’s mission of expanding access to civil justice across Mississippi

Jackson, Miss. — August 22, 2025 — Saxton Law, PLLC is proud to announce that its founder, Randall R. Saxton, has been elected Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project (MVLP). In this leadership role, Saxton will help oversee MVLP’s financial stewardship and support the nonprofit’s mission to provide free civil legal services to low-income Mississippians.

“I am honored to serve as Treasurer for MVLP,” said Randall R. Saxton. “MVLP’s work changes lives—protecting families, homes, and livelihoods. I look forward to supporting the organization’s financial health so that more Mississippians can access the justice they deserve.”

MVLP partners with attorneys and community organizations statewide to offer pro bono assistance in matters such as family law, housing, consumer issues, and other civil legal needs. As Treasurer, Saxton will collaborate with MVLP’s executive leadership and board colleagues to strengthen financial planning, transparency, and sustainability, ensuring resources are deployed where client need is greatest.

Saxton is an attorney based in the Jackson metro area and the founder of Saxton Law, PLLC, where he focuses on bankruptcy and consumer financial matters. He has been recognized for his commitment to pro bono service and his leadership within Mississippi’s legal community.
